Okay, so I have too much time on my hands....

I've been trying my hand at making West Wing video compliations. There are now 3 in my collection. "Amazing" by Aerosmith, "Answer" by Sarah McLachlan, and "Lean on Me" by Al Green.

Everything requires the Quicktime Player to view them. If needed, details on how to download the free Quicktime Player appear below. Let me know what you think and if you have any technical difficulties.

West Wing Video "Answer" (Performed by Sarah McLachlan)

JD video. Covers Donna's view of her relationship with Josh. (Includes clips up through Memorial Day in Season 5)

West Wing Video "Amazing" (Performed by Aerosmith)

JD Video. This video is Josh's view of his relationship with Donna. (Includes clips up through Memorial Day in Season 5)

West Wing Video "Meditations in Pink" (Performed by Aerosmith)

JD video. Okay so I've turned Josh into pervy perverson with this video.  It just occurred to me that Donna wears a lot of pink and that Josh must, when things are quiet and he's alone, meditate on that fact and how amazing she looks in pink.(Includes clips up through Abu El Banat in Season 5)

West Wing Video "Lean On Me" (Performed by Al Green)

This is a general West Wing cast video. Just wanted to show how much they all depend on each other. (Includes clips up through season 4)

Download and Technical Information

These files vary in memory size. The size of each file is listed on the download page. Each comes in a 'Small" and a "Large" version. They are the same in content. The only difference is the "Large" file is higher in quality. The exception to this is for "Lean on Me" the 'Large" file a bit more in it than the "Small" version.

They are zipped (.zip) to help with downloading. Please download a copy to your computer and don't try and load or watch it from within in your web browser. Trying to load or watch this from within your web browser will take up my bandwidth and make my web hosting provider very unhappy.

You will need to unzip the files once they are downloaded. If you need a program to unzip them, see below for two of the more popular (and free) ones. Once they are unzipped you will need a newer version of the Quicktime Player to view it. Otherwise you may have trouble with the sound or the picture. A free Quicktime Player is available for PC and Mac. See below for further details. If you install a newer version of Quicktime from the one you already have, you will need to reboot you're computer to get it to work properly.

Oh, one other thing. If, after unzipping these files, you have a file that ends in .bin, you will need to unzip that file as well. I sometimes had this problem when testing the download on a PC (it seems to stem from the fact that the videos were originally created and zipped on a Mac). The final file names should end with the '.mov' extension. When you unzip the files you may get both a .mov AND a .bin file but the .mov file is the unzipped Quicktime File you want. Confused yet?

Let me know if you have any questions or technical problems. Click the link below to go to the download pages.

If needed, you can download a free program to zip or unzip files. The links below are for one of the most popular but you can find others by doing a search for "zip" or "unzip" on Google or other search engines.

Disclaimers: The West Wing and its characters don't belong to me, never will. Aaron Sorkin, John Wells, Warner Bros, NBC and Co. thought of them first. I just like to play with them and see what happens. I do this out of a love for the show and no infringement is intended.
