Author’s Notes: This takes place, just before everything got really screwed up between our favorite non-couple. Also, usually, I’m as big an Amy basher as the next person but here I’ve made her more of a sympathetic figure (well, to a degree). You all may not agree with me there but that’s the direction I’ve taken in this story (don’t worry you don’t have to see much of her, there’s no triangle going on).
I’m sorry it took me so long to finish (or nearly finish) this story and start posting it. A new job, a case of bronchitis, a broken wrist and my own neurotic need to finish a story before posting it, all conspired to slow me down. For all of those who have encouraged me and waited so patiently, I hope you enjoy it.

I hope you enjoy it because, except for a sequel I'm planning to write for this story, I think it will be my last J/D fan fiction story. While I am and will remain a fan of WW, J/D and the many fine fan fiction writers out there, I think my obsession with writing stories for our dynamic duo has run it’s course.
Then again…well, you never know.
